I thought it was pretty good.

One thing I'd like to say, though, is that this was an *animation* thesis, not a writing one: alot of student films don't have good scripts don't have good stories for that reason. Technically, this was a skilled episode almost indistinguishable from the real series; it was made by a fan, so naturally it was stuffed with things fans would like, and a tribute to his influences.

Seriously, half the time I want to throw the entire fandom into the Clockwork Orange chair and mainline Suited for Your Success until the point sticks.

My problem with Alicorn Twilight is that strange horses distributing wings is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not some farcical ceremony! You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some equine tart sewed a couple of wings on you! I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some winged bint glued a couple of wings on me, they'd have me put away!
