Seconding this recommendation. N1 is better for my pale skin than most foundations, even expensive ones. And I never put it all over my face, just in red areas. It's pretty sheer and gives buildable coverage.

Now, though, I usually use Stila tinted moisturizer in "fair", because it doesn't have chemical sunscreens - my face skin doesn't like chemical sunscreens.

Wow, a person could spend a lot of time on ravelry, I see.

See, awesome! I'm so excited somebody with experience answered. I have to go the non-fancy Joanne craft store in the suburbs to get a loom, but now I can't wait.

I've seen those wrist-warmers - I think you knit them *around* the rectangle? Or that's what youtube says. First I shall make a rectangle, for sure.

Thanks for the links! These are definitely fancy. I just came from the hoitiest of hoity-toity yarn stores, where I didn't buy anything but they were very nice? I will go back there if I decide to go the garter-stitch route, for sure. Which I may. My dad might need a sports-ball-team scarf in stripes..........

Now *that* sounds like a great idea.

No, I'm just an outlier. My aunts would very much disapprove if they saw me make it. My mom just rolls her eyes, but she's used to my froo-froo ways.

Peeling celery, zesting oranges, using fresh parsley in the stuffing - I'm a freak, really.

I would take him to a professional kid-hair-cutting place, but if he's super anxious about it, maybe let it go for awhile? Some kids don't like hair cuts :(

(Is it terrible that it cracks me up that in your attempt to un-waif him he now has jacked-up partially cut hair? Because that is just hilarious to me......)

(p.s. make sure you take pictures!)

Any knitting board/loom people here? I am thinking of trying it. I want a fancy scarf and in regular knitting I can only knit, not purl (I've tried!), which very much limits my options.

Loom knitting looks easy-ish? Is it fun?

Are you in my family? My one innovation in making the cranberry relish is that I carefully remove the zest of the orange, chop it up first in the processor with some sugar, then add the cranberries and the flesh of the orange with the white stuff (pith) removed. It really improves the dish. (I hate the white stuff.)
