You mention students, so I assume you're in academia? Summer is a good time for research and writing, if you want to get published or do presentations. Definitely meet with the director and see what he/she says. If the director isn't encouraging, that's not a great sign, but lots of librarianship is self-motivated.

Yes! I'm enjoying it, but also find myself tearing up fairly often. And I don't know how far you've gotten, but the second ep with Dean Cain where she goes into the shower to scream...I had to turn it off and skip to the next one.
