I completely agree with you..I loved all in but your points about double standards are spot on. Kenny Omega's match was reminiscent of Cena's and Owens matches just big move after big move and up with out selling, those matches annoy me but they annoy me with who ever is in them (just to point out to when Rock has matches with finisher after finisher he does sell alot). I actually really loved Okada, though I like Cena too, to be fair his performace reminded me of Cena's at WM 28.
The production was quite poor and the arena they chose was really quiet too, they should have had it at All States.
Your spot on about how everyone complains about title matches not going on last but had nothing to say about it here.
The joey ryan jokes were attrotius.
I did love all in though, though it had a great variety of wrestling styles my favourite being Rhodes vs Aldis.
Nice column brother I agree with you on roman reigns he was always going to be booed as the very top guy quickly anway just like Cena was just put the belt on him when he is cheered thought like they did with Batista and establish him fast.
Don't know about Rosey, if she can't speak or work long matches then i'd say she's more suited to being an attraction but hey maybe you book like Goldberg for two-three years whilst the media is all over her! Women's wrestling is in an early stage anyway she'd still be like Hulk Hogan to wwf in 80's.
Daniel Bryan will be the face of SD for the next few years.
Nakamura's matches are dissapointing because the crowd is never into him, due to the fact that wwe has booked him strangely.
I've watched Balor/Rollins/Miz, Taker/Cena, Asuka/Charlotte, Rousey + Angle/HHH + Steph, Styles/Nakamura and Reigns/Lesnar basically the main matches of the card, I thought the triple threat and Asuka/Charlotte was great for your athletic/sports style matches, I thought the Rousey match was extremely special and Rousey came out looking like she's going to be the top draw for wwe for years to come, it was a brilliant spectacle and one of the best matches in wrestlemania history, I felt Taker/Cena was a good segment and if it leads to a built up match down the line (hopefully wm 35) where they atleast get a 10minute spectacle, then this was brilliant storytelling, if there is not a future Taker/Cena match then this was an insult to Cena's legacy. I though Nakamura and Styles has a really good hard hitting/athletic match but that Nakamura is not worth the hype; this should have been Rollins vs Styles, I though Reigns vs Lesnar was a great performance but the lack of crowd interest just made this a decent main event.
Both Lesnar and Rousey are WWE's biggest attractions and I think wwe should do everything to keep Lesnar and when he's ready go even more part time or retire for good; then promote a new guy who's ready over him. Coming out of this I' d like to see Lesnar vs Bryan and Charlotte vs Rousey as the premier matches of next years wrestlemania.
The crowd will be very accepting there, and will cheer loudly it'll feel like a huge occasion...+ I've heard rumours Lesnar has signed a multi year deal...Reigns doesn't actually need to beat Lesnar, Lesnar is a huge mainstream superstar...but Roman is already a bonifide mainever with years left in him, he does well in merch, the kids and women like him, he ellicts controversy and he has done for multiple years...just because he's booed doesn't mean he's not already a big star...I don't actually know why wwe is so obsessed with Reigns getting cheered, the moves they do make them look desperate and that Reign's star power is dependent on being universally cheered by the crowds.
I really love your work but when talking about success like with WM 19 I think you should consider it's box office dissappointment. Meltzer said he remembers being in a pub watching that event and people were not into Brock vs Angle really wrestling...I think the main event should have been Brock vs Austin.
I aspire to be happy and morally good and financially successful enough to be comfortable...Lol...but I get what you mean...I got to say i'm nearly done with wwe as a fan I got to say even since 2015 it seems things have radically got less and less interesting. I'm not saying it in a terrible way or from a match point. Just the characters and storylines just really aren't there not the star power, i've been much into dragon ball lately but with the series taking a break I may get back into wwe...but it's very unenthisiastically. How dull does this show sound? Remember Raw 1000 that was amazing, this sounds like a very flimsy show.
Got to admit i've never liked face Austin...love him as a heel.
