A person's mind can do really strange things. Denial is a real issue, it can make you honestly believe you what you say. From witnessing my mother's denial when she was dying of cancer.. She 3 cancer operations, but the last 6 months of her life she would not believe there had been any operations.
I think Sandusky really believes those things didn't happen and refuses to accept the truth. He probably never will accept the truth and die still in denial.

I disagree with you. The reason for animal/human encounters is people feed these animals, mostly on purpose, sometimes not. If people would just learn that they are wild animals you issue a death warrant when ever you feed them, or leave food where they can get at it.

According to another source one train was going about 68 mph and the other much slower. Reminds me of the train wreck near Kelso a number of years ago. In that one they were both going about 65mph and though they were on different tracks.
The survivor must have not been in the front engine and in the slower moving train.

Not a lot of people have a lot knowledge about wild animals let alone identifying them. My guess it was domestic dog not a coyote the went after the stick. There's no reason a coyote would go after a stick, but many dogs are trained to chase sticks. Sticks don't represent food to a coyote, but represent play to a dog.

In my opinion that's true. My point was that juries are instructed to NOT take a vote right away but to talk about it first. Then you add 48 counts to it and the need to convict or not on each count takes time. When they came back with a verdict to read to the court in just 2 days, my first thoughts we they're going to convict on most if not all counts. It was to fast for anything else. I sat on a child abuse case with only 5 counts and the defendant didn't have the kind of status Sandusky has. It took us 3+ day to reach a verdict with a lot of compelling evidence and included the defense trying to use the conspiracy theory.

I guess you've never had the privilege of being on a jury or listened to the judges instructions to the jury.

Darn, I never see or hear these things. I guess the O.F.F control works too well.

TheProdigal, Then what are you afraid of. I know that mythical red guy with the pitch fork.
If you really believe in the religious stuff then we need to start executing females that are NOT virgins when they get married.

OK, billdougall, we'll substitute "hate monger" for "bigot". Does that fit you better?
