Good verse! God does hear prayer, and if we pray for healing in our land and encourage others to do the same, He will listen.

Isn’t it scary how history repeats itself?

In Deuteronomy chapter 28, there are two lists: One is a list of the blessings that will come when a nation obeys God and the other is a list of the curses that will come when a nation disobeys Him. Some of the curses that will come to a nation that disobeys God include:

•Defeat at the hands of its enemies (verse 25)
•Its citizen’s belongings will be forcibly taken away from them (verse 31)
•Cruel oppression by another people (verse 33)
•Its citizen’s sons and daughters will be taken into captivity (verse 41)
•It will have to borrow money from sojourners and will be unable to lend out money (verses 43-44)

Don’t these curses sound similar to what our nation is facing today? And this is only a few of the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28! (Check out the whole list; it is really disturbing!)

Our nation must turn towards God and be obedient to Him again, and this change must start with each and every one of us. Let’s not allow history to repeat itself anymore in this country!
