Part 2 of 2 - Letter by a Florida teacherShe was looking into WAIT which gives students a CREDIT CARD for gas to come to school, and into CARIBE which is a special program (check it out - I did) for immigrants and it pays for child care and all sorts of needs while they go to school or training. The one student I just mentioned told me she was not going to be a US Citizen because she plans to return to the Dominican Republic someday and that she 'loves HER country.'
I asked her if she felt guilty taking what the US is giving her and then not even bothering to become a citizen and she told me that it doesn't bother her, because that is what the money is there for!
I asked the CARIBE administration about their program and if you ARE a US Citizen, you don't qualify for their program. And all the while, I am working a full day, my son-in-law works more than 60 hours a week, and everyone in my family works and pays for our education.

Part 1 of 2 - Letter by a Florida teacher................ A teacher speaks:
We have adult students at the school where I teach who are not US citizens who get the PELL grant, which is a federal grant (no pay back required) plus other federal grants to go to school?
One student from the Dominican Republic told me that she didn't want me to find a job for her after she finished my program, because she was getting housing from our housing department and she was getting a PELL grant which paid for her total tuition and books, plus money leftover.

I can't believe even he would publically criticize America in front of the world like that. We're arrogant and should respect our European allies more???

And they want to talk about Sarah PALIN's dresses.

Madame Pelosi wasn't happy with the small private jet that comes with the Speaker's job...no, Madame Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to Stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat 200 seat jet that could get her back to California without stopping!

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone that's Nancy's Big Fat Jet costs us, the hard working American Tax payers, thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California, cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000, one way!

As Joe put it, 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday Night.' Cost to us another $60,000.

Folks, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000. No wonder she complains about the cost of this war...it might cramp her style and she is styling, on my back and yours.

I think of the military families in this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of this country, keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing.

Madame Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint. She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires.

These people are nuts.

Keep in mind the figures above do NOT include cost of plane or crew, just fuel!

One wonders what her total package cost us? And She wants to tax our Ira's & 401 K's!

But I doubt they will be making answers!

Was it just me, or did the presidential address tonight not really answer any questions at all? Any good questions were skillfully skirted and redirected back to the 4 basics - energy, education, healthcare, and deficit reduction... Those are Obama's goals, but he didn't say much of how he would address any of them, except to say that he's "persistent". That's nice....

It's not about religion - it's about patriotism and believing in America and our founding principles... This is a really innappropriate comment. We have enough people trying to divide Americans - This cause is trying to unite.

Hey, stay with us... it's a Principal, not a rule... Keep focused on the big picture. If you believe in our country and the priciples it was founded on, who cares what religion you subscribe to, even if it's no religion! We need patriots, not preachers!

Where did you immigrate from? You obviously don't understand what America is about, if you think GB came up with these ideas! They came from our Founding Fathers and from our Declaration of Independence, and from our Constitution! You should try reading them sometime.

Maybe there's a good reason for this! We don't need anymore unskilled immigrants for US to support in this country! I already support enough legitimate Americans who are unskilled and on wellfare!
