Truth.

Sometimes, if I am too full of feels to move on to a new book that carries a risk of making me feel more, I use either a fun-but-unexceptional-looking urban fantasy or or romance re-reading a Discworld book as a sort of cleanser, or, like, that thing in a canal that adjust the water level, I think it's called a lock? Then I have the emotional energy for another book I think might eat my soul.
