What in the world does Obama have to do with this? Or his supporters decision making abilities when it comes to responsible, adult voters vs. an immature, drunk kid?

I heard those reports that stated specifically the Laurelhurst were black teens. So they did put it on there for that one.

She must party pretty hard if that is what she looks like at 23! Amazing that ALL of these folks covered for her - they threw their lives away for her. Must be something special about her, huh? AND they were ALL older than her!

You have obviously never been sexually assaulted. So until then, shut the hell up. You have no idea what you are talking about. I would have given ANYTHING to have someone rescue me and can venture to say, even at age 5, would have gladly thrown a few punches myself.

Dude, no offense, but there is slavery in every culture, every country, every race, every sex - it hasn't gone away. It may have been outlawed in 2007, but it was outlawed here how long ago? And it still exists? Maybe not where the general population can see it, but it's there. I don't know if that date is in response to another post or what, but I'm confused as to the point of that (I haven't read them all yet).

And the literal black & white attitude you are exhibiting for black vs. white behavior is part of the actual problem - not at all discussing PC, cause I don't give a crap about that. So what if 'they' use it, 'they' and a lot of 'we' don't want it used at all. So what it's in the rap songs and such, who cares? Point is it's not a proper word in general BECAUSE of the 10 million reasons why behind it and the school house is a great option for that education/lesson/exhibit/example.

So while I agree with the top half of your comment, I'm not so sure on the second half.

Again, just my opinion - doesn't matter worth a hill of beans!!!!

At least they aren't in danger of being on someone's dinner plate this weekend. This zoo is one of the best in the country and I think they deserve lots of praise and respect for the good work they do in raising awareness and education. These animals are very well taken care of and have luxurious habitats. Is it best for them to be in the wild and free, yes, sure. Is it realistic, no. Best they can do is provide an enriching life while they are with us on this earth.

You pointing out that I don't know what I'm talking about can be said about you as well. Are you in high school? Are you a male? Have you ever been duct taped to anything? Are you a female? Have you ever had kooaid soaked pads/tampons on your locker? I don't know - maybe you have, and I'm not reserving judgement either way. But you have no idea my experience either and 2 feet of glass was not the world I lived in. Again, it's the OVERALL environment, not the specific acts themselves. Wake up! You have NO CLUE if everyone one of those boys was playing along or thrilled to be in this situation and assuming that they were is assuming that a girl dressed in a skirt enjoyed being fondled and taken behind the bushes on the playground. Use one random, small aspect of a situation that does happen every day is not the point.

These things cannot be looked at as one simple act of disobedience. It's about creating an environment of safety and as much self respect as you can possibly eek out of a school day. The children often on the receiving end are also children that are struggling in all other areas of life in regards to their home environment. There has to be limits. Plain and simple. You are not allowed to degrade someone and you absolutely should not be allowed to physically harm someone. But words - from the tormentors AND from those who will never let that 'humiliated' and/or 'bullied' student forget - will slash at that child's mind and heart daily. It's not the same as when we were in school in the 60/70/80s. If you have doubt, check out some of the bullying documentaries out there. If you really want to have a realistic, vital opinion on this and not just go by what you experienced 40 years ago.

No, not at all. The point was that colleges/universities are going to look at transcripts and extracurricular activities leading up to high school graduation and something like this could very well toss that all in the trash. That senseless behavior (granted they are teenagers and sense is not a major component in their decisions) has now put their entire future at risk. For what? To be cool? To humiliate/embarrass someone? To initiate them? Regardless, these boys themselves have now jeapordized everything they (and their parents) have worked for. So yes, I think keeping them off a an extra curricular sports/activity is a valid punishment for THEIR crime. They did it, therefore you get to deal with the consequences. That alone is what is missing in parenting and school systems today. They did 'a' then they should deal with 'b'. Plain and simple parenting - do what you say and follow through.

Which country? France? Cause I heard she actually speaks French. (actually, not, but responding to absolutely idiotic comment) Cause Lord knows, she could be from as far away as Illinois, you never know. Dumba** (the idiotic lady driver herself and racist idiots)
