In fact Teletext did not originate in the UK, and the BBC's version was called Ceefax. Teletext and Ceefax both existed in the UK at the same time.

Correction; Teletext DID in fact originate in the UK, but I'm still right about Teletext and Ceefax being too completely separate but similar-looking things.

There was once a time when everyone in the UK used Teletext to book their holidays (vacations).

I always assumed Prufrock's fear of eating a peach was because of their resemblance to the human posterior, and the inevitable sexiness that might ensue. I don't think bananas had arrived in Britain in such ubiquity as they are found today when the poem was written.

I don't see how I could ever trust a creature with such an obvious incentive to cause sadness in others.

I've never heard the term "mosquito eaters", but on Googling it they appear to be crane flies and so therefore I second this motion. They are no friend of mine.

Look, I hate moths too. But crane flies are worse. They have all the moth's obnoxious qualities plus crazy legs that flail madly at you.

" To make up for that expense, we would need to increase our sales by a minimum of 20%."

So, like, try doing that then. That's how business works.
