THANK YOU BASED LARSON

Amazing episode. A fun, cute rollicking adventure which hearkens back to the innocent charm of Season 1 and really puts the Princess of Friendship thing to good use. Pinkie was at her best she's been in ages, Twilight was fantastic and the "new" (or as new as ponies who've been in the background for five seasons can be) friends were all nice even if the main three were a little homogenous. That ending was actually really emotional too, I felt really bad for Moondancer. They managed to convey her emotion in both a convincing and realistic way.

In the end this episode was the kind of episode that I wanted for the 100th. An episode with background ponies getting canonised and referenced for the people who are into that stuff, whilst relating back to the show's origins by adding something to the main character's backstory and in a way that reaffirms the show's main message that "friendship is magic." This will be one that I will rewatch for years to come.
