I didn't mean to imply I thought it was a good thing.... Only that it shouldn't be blown out of proportion in comparison with other events of a similar nature, which I feel like it is (although perhaps not so much in this specific discussion, as you rightfully point out).

I really didn't perceive the episode as a very big deal, certainly not a "brawl" or a "melee" as people have described it. This type of thing happens in professional sports all the time when people pour their heart and soul into competitive effort. I perceive sexism when we create a double-standard where a dust-up in the WNBA is thought to inflict possible permanent damage to the league, but MLB players clear the benches on a regular basis and no one blinks.

Athletes are intense. Let's stop acting like women and men are different in this regard. It is nearly impossible to not react in some way when you get hit or dragged down. Plenette and Candace both overreacted, but so is absolutely everyone else, in my opinion.
