I can relate to your "Candy" story becuase I also knew a few people in school who were "different" and looking back I wish I would have been nicer...not that I was mean but I wish I would have been a "friend". I think I picked my career based on some of those experiences...I hope to have the "right" words for my children to explain that differences should be embraced not feared.
