Yeah, paper will just have to be skipped, Though i wonder if checks or credit are heavily used since it's harder to carry a ton of coins all at once

Yeah i can see that. Though it is interesting that they have different contrasting tech. though it makes sense that they still use coins rather than paper since all money will have to be handled via mouth and paper is fragile

True, though if all the coins are gold then the mines must be rather prosperous unless the coins are actually just brass or something.

Well if it is based off gold then i guess that it would make sense that it isn't as valued since it seems to be in access similar to gems since they can be found a short walk away rather than deep in a mine far away.
