This will make a good comparison. We will see first hand the folly of less government spending during a depression in a capitalist, consumer based economy. Germany, with its social safety nets shouldn't have any problem maintaining their excellent living standards while we will have lots more children and seniors starving then usual.

They accrue 6 weeks vacation (Holiday) the first day of working for an employer. 36 hr work week, with time off after finishing up a project that does not come from vacation accrued. They have cheaper, better health care available for everyone. They also have the brains to know when they've been getting screwed and are not afraid to stand up for whats right or wrong.

Its funny to listen to an american attempt to call them pussies to their faces.

You wonder? lol Next time you see a group of people concerned enough about something to get off their asses in that kind of manner, maybe you could take a minute to find out why? Those protesters are people like you and me thats all. You have as much right to this world as the rich man does.

Those guys in Canada are protesting fascism and hoping they can keep their government from deregulating their financial sector like the US did. They still have their regulation and can see what happened to the world after the US induced scams failed.

The problems are the US, Spain, England, Italy, Greece and Portugal. Canada's trade is down because their largest trading partner (to the south) happens to be a scammer and is in a depression now. Northern European countries are fine also because they avoided deregulation but will be buried by the European scammers anyway.

Norway had 3% growth in Oct. '08 while we had been flopping around in a depression for a year. US fascist conservatives would have you believe that Norway's government controls business and there is no capitalism. Thats another lie, you can run any for profit company you want, you just have rules that prevent any scams on the people thats all. Of course, that would be an environment that many US businessmen would rather avoid.

Bush didn't have any problem with an unfunded tax cut for the rich, you not alright with that now huh?

200 bills are stalled in the Senate right now, care to wager who is holding what up? The GOP has been unwilling to sign anything that doesn't profit corporations. These are real people not games and you're insulting them.
