My children love everything to do with the UK and its proud, glorious past. They watched the Jubilee celebrations waving their little Union flags with total joy and glee; they enjoyed the majestic royal wedding, wishing they could become princesses in the royal family too, while, once again, waving those wee Union flags; they sighed, ohh'ed and ahh'ed when little Prince George was born. They also get to enjoy the glorious 12th, as well as a great evening watching a bonfire the night before. You see, weebaz, that label those backward little Tyrone hicks slapped on them means sweet FA to their little innocent minds and lives - as well as my wife and my own - and those backward little Tyrone hicks get no say in any of this whatsoever. The look of pent up rage in their granda's eyes as they showed him their little flags and mock crowns was a joy to behold. My eldest has even started to tell her teacher in school that her 'religious beliefs' is 'freethinking and atheist'; not catholic nor protestant. I taught them well.

They know they're British, and they celebrate it too every chance they get. They also enjoy the St Patrick's day parades in Belfast. I bet your own kids and yourself - if you have any, which I doubt - never get to enjoy such a diverse and culturally rich upbringing.
