The only reason that facility was built in Hardin to begin with was because the state department of commerce approached Hardin with it as an option to boost revenue in a severly depressed area. THAT fact has been swept under the rug from the start. Hardin needs the revenue, I said Hardin not the rez so please do not mix it up. The selfish ones are in Helena that would rather line their own pockets instead of helping tax-paying citizens.

Not a great alternative. Too close to innocent children in the school district, only 11 blocks away. Why don't we put them in your back yard.

You tell them! How is Two Rivers Authority going to make sure that these killers are not released into that area? They can't be sent back to their homeland like murderers and sex offenders are sent back to the state/county that incarcerated them to begin with. Where are these detainees going when they are released? That has not been answered yet. But TRA wants to say "put 'em here, we got nothing else thanks to the governor". Research "The Billings Gazette" from 2004 - 2009 on TRA and watch the destruction of the financial dreams of a small community.

The hard copy available right now is unbelievable, but the people in power in Montana choose the BO mentality and talk in circles. They always have and excuse or an explanation. Looking through it all is worse than any soap opera on TV. The plot is so unbeilievable that if you try to explain it someone that is not from the area, they don't believe you. Pathetic politics at work in Montana. Rats everywhere. Oh, and while you are at it looking up Billings and Helena paper archives, don't forget to check the Big Horn County News. It will give you a giggle. The good ol' boys across the US have nothing on the corruption in BH Co.

Hmmm... let me see. This facility is 5 blocks from city hall, across the field (about 250yds) from the grocery store, and about 11 blocks from the primary, intermediate, middle, and high schools. Did any of these Council members ask the residents if they wanted it there? NO. Put it somewhere else. That is a small community and it will bring no jobs to the unemployed population there. Max had better stick to his guns about not wanting it there.

After reading all these posts, I must agree with yours. Thank you for attempting to refocus Christians to Christ instead of chasing rainbows. My church would not marry them either, and if the govt. attempted to penalize my church for it, let 'em. Close our doors, we will still meet to worship. As authomps stated "The body of Christ - the church - isn't the building, it's the people."

Master Sgt. Porter,
I ran across the program from my Grandfather's military funeral at Arlington in 2001. It brought back many memories for me. He served during WWII and retired from the USN after 23 years as a Commander. I read what you had to say and it touched me because I think if he were here today, his sentiments would be not too far off from yours.

I thank you for your service. I thank you for the time that you spent away from your family. I thank you for the sacrifices that you made during your time of enlistment and after. And I thank you for being here today. You are a credit, and I applaud you, sir.

Had 2 here:
1. court house - 12:00 to 1:00
2. post office - 12:00 to 5:00

Guess which one had the most people, no news coverage, and "was the longest time slot"? Did that give it away? Mainstream media is pathetic! At least they didn't ask the 4 year olds in attendance with their parents "what is your stand on politics?"

Gump said his mother always told him, "stupid is as stupid does" and she would be proud of the fact that the statment is alive and well in today's media. Pathetic. Don't know how many were in attendence, but we all had a heck of a time.
