This would be why the charts proving these were "tax breaks for the rich" never gave percentages. Usually they took the form: "Joanne makes $5k a year and only got $1000 back while Billy Bob makes $16 million a year and got $1024 back." Whenever data is handled this way you immediately know why.

If ethanol is so profitable why is it not profitable without being run by the govt?
The reasons you give for ethanol being a moneymaker are all things I think should be eliminated.
That said, I like having a parallel source of fuel to gasoline, I think it's healthy for the energy economy. However, the energy/pollution balance is still screwy ethanol, a lot of places still burn oil for the partial distillation process! It's just stupid as it is and as long as the bureaucrats run the show it will stay stupid.

And so do I. The vitriole by this administration aimed at anyone who has the power to hire is toxic.
"And I happen to believe lower taxes is what stimulates economic growth and what we need now in our country is economic growth."
Obama has said the same thing at one time or another, depending on his audience.

"I do urge Americans not to forget Haiti," she said at a Sunday afternoon news conference.
Noting that severe problems afflicted Haiti even before last January's devastating quake, she said her fellow citizens should "get out of your comfort zone and volunteer to help."
