This is a very well-done report. I found it refreshing that they made a solid attempt to ease unfamiliar viewers into the concept, rather than starting out with, "THEY'RE NOT ASHAMED TO LOVE A BRIGHT PINK MANE." The bronies here were portrayed as we actually are; often a bit nerdy, but at the end of the day, just regular people who like a show. Kudos to them.
This is pretty tame compared to some stuff that's been in the fandom from the get-go. If this is going too far for you, you're gonna have a bad time.
Mother of Celestia.. I can't bear to lose another third installment..
Then they'd be like Valve.
"Apparently Season 3 is less than 30 days away from being announced!" They intend to announce when they're going to air the show in less than 30 days. I'm sorry if I worded that wrong, but what I'm saying is that if even if they announced when they're going to air the show this weekend, it could be another month's wait or so, or more.
I'm not exactly trying to argue a point here, I'm just listing some possibilities as to why they're delaying. Besides, even if they did announce the release date this weekend, we don't know when they intend to actually start airing. I also doubt that they'd give up to a 29 day time frame to announce it within the next week or two. But this is really all up in the air. It's frustrating, but they've delivered thus far.
Some previous comments have stated that they may be delaying to make a consistent time frame similar to when the other seasons have been released and ended. That being said, it is later than when season 2 was released last year, but this may be because there are fewer episodes. You bring up a great point. I don't think it's set in stone yet, though. They may be tweaking it to how they want it, or they could be trying to drum up suspense among the fans. Either way, I have a feeling season 3 will be fantastic. :)
Case in point, they've made 13 episodes in a time frame which they've previously made 26. This means that they're either going for a quality over quantity approach, or they've gotten lazy. To my understanding, it was The Hub that commissioned 13 episodes, and MLP is extremely popular and very profitable, so they must be placing a lot of faith in the developers to make a season with high standards.
Can you do that? Can you announce it twice?!
I think that's a Molestia pen.
