You two seem to be in the minority on that mode of thinking. Do I think the current booking is good? No, after a very good Summer of 2012 I think things fell off a cliff after BFG and the horrid Aces and Eights angle really got going. Obviously something needs to be done, but the Russo crash-booking style was tried for years and never got TNA to that next level.
While 2010-2011 may have brought in more casual viewers, it alienated a lot of long-term, diehard fans of the company, and is looked at by most as the worst era in the company's history. As a fan, not numbers wise.

Hey, some people are fans of actual wrestling, and some fans prefer the sports entertainment side of things, as your username already suggested. Quite frankly, I'm not sure why someone who seems to dislike actual wrestling on a wrestling show watches it, but to each his own.
And those 1.5 million viewers were still looked at as a laughable number by the WWE and the IWC. It's not like Hogan and company came around and suddenly TNA was knocking on the WWE's door.
Another honest question, you two obviously seem to prefer the former WWE stars over TNA's homegrown guys, the talking, and seem to wish that TNA was a carbon copy of WWE's sports entertainment model, so why not just watch the WWE instead of TNA? That's not a knock, just an honest question from my observations of the two of you.

I've followed and defended TNA since the first shows in Nashville back in 2002, but the product presented in 2010-late 2011 almost made me tap out to the promotion.

As a fan I'll take a decent-good show that draws a 0.9 over the Russo "one millions things are happening but none of them matter, have 10 minutes of actual wrestling on a two hour show and draw a 1.1" style of show.
If Russo's style of booking had been making a big enough difference in the ratings, say about a 2.0 I could see your point, but the ratings difference in 2010-2011 wasn't significant enough to excuse how god-awful the product had gotten at the time.
I don't sit around after the show thinking, "Man, that episode of Impact made me wanna stab my eyes out, but it drew a 1.2, so..yay?"

I'm beginning to think you'd accept Hogan taking a dump in the ring while Mr. Anderson narrated it if Impact drew a 1.5.

Very good match, glad Roode went over, but I'm not sure what to think of the finish. Not sure if I like it or hate it.

Gail holding The Knockout's title's always a positive for me. Also, if Tapa ends up challenging for the title, Gail's the one who's got the best chance of carrying her to a good match.
