Give me a month of gains and I'll say its good numbers. 1 week doesnt mean anything in long run. Lets Hope that this continues. Frankley, I believe this is a small bump in the road to DOW 5000. Unless Obama and the Dems control spending and cut back on tax increases, its not going to get much better.
The DOW is still over 2000 points down. 401k's have been hammered and will NOT come back as fast as the market. Obamas budget hasnt been signed yet and there could be a Stimulus 2. The Markets are far from stable. If Obamas plan somehow works, I'll eat my words and say it.
Its great the Markets are up. The problem is that the damage has already been done. We will be feeling the last 2 month loses for a year or so to come. 401k's and the average investors have already been decimated and only the rich are speculating now. I also feel that this is the exception, the Markets are not done cratering yet.
Fox doesnt consult daily with the White House to get their propaganda out. CNN does. This is STATE RUN MEDIA. How is it impartial to consult and set up a strategy with the entity(government) you are responsible to be the Watchdog for?
There will be no "truth or transparency" until the MSM Media is held accountable. We have basically, State Run TV in America now.
I think the difference is that Obama is actively trying to rewrite our history and Constitution. Do I want Obama to Fail? This is such a loaded question. If the President of the United States fails, its not good for anyone. On the other hand if Obama implements his "Change" and fundamentally alters the way the US works and does business, that hurts everyone too. I have come to the conclusion that Obama succeeding in his agenda, equals failure for our people in the future. We are at a ideological crossroads here. I have given up my principles as far as I'm willing to go. Obamas policies are at odds with my core beliefs and I cant support him. Do I want him to Fail? Yes and No. I think that no matter if he fails or suceeds that part or all of America is lost.
By your logic, if you dont support Obama and his policies you want America to Fail. PLEASE. Only Fascists and Dictators speak like that. What happened to Freedom of Speech and healthy dissent? I think you blindly following Obama does more damage to America than the opposition speaking words.
This has been coming for decades. Americans desire for easy solutions and answers. We avoided our problems and band aided them instead of dealing with hard decisions and reality. Bush has a part in all this, no question. You forget that the CONGRESS, not the Executive, holds the purse strings of America. Much of our current situation could have been avoided, it was blocked by partisan politics.
This is the OBAMA ECONOMY now. He has assured a bleak future where one was just a possibility.
I didnt agree with Bush on everything. In his last years he completely lost me. We did have a DOW 14,000 and record unemployment during the Bush years. Then 2006 happened. I also didnt feel like our country was on the verge of collapse under Bush, I do with Obama.
Gitmo is STILL open for business. Stem Cell research was NEVER banned, just not funded with taxpayer dollars. Ending the war would be bringing ALL the troops home. You dont stimulate business by taxing them and attacking them daily. I respect the Office of President, NOT the man. I believe Obama is doing more damage to America than the entire Soviet Union during the Cold War. I will NOT support what I consider to be WRONG and UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
