"Tantibus" means "nightmare" in Latin.
The synopsis spells it "tantabus," but that could just be a mistake/a choice the writers made to distinguish the creature from the word itself.

That's a really nice cover. I like the *idea* of that cover. ...But we all know there's no land where that school is, unless it's on a boat or on a previously unseen island. Either would be pretty awesome.

My favorite moments are when Brony conventions like BABSCon (and BronyCon, and Equestria LA, and Everfree Northwest, etc, etc) raise tons of money for charity. The Brony fandom is truly the most generous fandom. I am always so proud of us when we donate.

I recall at the Fanime 2014 closing ceremonies, they mentioned the amount of money raised for charity at their con. I recall the number was shockingly low given the attendee count of the convention. I *know* the amount was sub-$5000 (I want to say sub-$3000, but I don't want to risk getting my facts wrong). Fanime has over 25,000 attendees. Meanwhile, I know BABSCon had just over 2000 attendees in 2014. And we raised $9300 through the charity auction *alone* (there were other ways Bronies could donate during the convention).

Anyway, with this data (and assuming best-case-scenario for Fanime), Fanime attendees donated $5000/25,000 = $0.20 per attendee to charity in 2014. While at BABSCon, we donated $9300/2000 = $4.65 per attendee in 2014. That's a 2325% difference per attendee. BABSCon donates 86% more total money than Fanime even though we are 8% their size.

I know that when it comes to charity, every little bit counts, and I'm glad other conventions like Fanime donate to important causes. I'm just so taken aback by the generosity of the Brony community, and when looking at the numbers, it makes me even more proud of the great work we've done.

Just "The Village" sounds good. It's creepy in a "we all know which village you're talking about" sort of way. Also, Starlight Glimmer calls the town The Village multiple times. So it's just as canonical as "Our Town" or "Ourtown."

I've been thinking this for a while, but can somebody make a compilation video of Rarity saying "Divine"? I swear, she does that a lot. I think at least one other pony has said it too, but mostly Rarity. I wonder if there is any correlation between Rarity saying "divine" and the writer of the episode. Maybe it's the same writer every time? Who knows!

They are canon with the show. Andy Price, one of the main writers for the comics, said at BABSCon 2014 that the particular style of canon it is is "B-Canon." What this means that the comics are canon with the show, but if information from the show and comics contradict, the information from the show is official canon.

And even though EQD just ran a post about Jim Miller saying they are separate, the actual writers for the comics consider them at least B-Canon, and I feel they have more authority on the matter than Jim does. I don't think Jim Miller is all that involved with the comics, and it seemed like he said they were separate in order to please fans who are unhappy with a few discrepancies with some ponies' characterizations.

If everyone thought of the comics as B-Canon, and actually understood what that meant, most people's complaints/opinions about the comics would go away. The comics are canon, people. B-Canon. If people don't like that then... Why? It's literally more pony for everyone to consume. If someone feels the comics contradict a pony's characterization, well it's a good thing the comics are B-Canon so they can just consider that characterization as non-canon because the show is official canon. Easy.

In general, I wish more romantic comedy anime actually ended, or at least concluded an arc for a character. I don't like getting into an anime and then have nothing happen between the characters at the end, or have a "You'll just have to keep watching for Season 2" thing happen. *coughcoughGekkanShoujoNozakikuncoughcough*

In terms of specifics...

I would change Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood to use more music from the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime. Particularly the variations of the Brothers song. I watched all of Brotherhood and not a single song has stuck with me from that show.

I would have had Kaiba market itself more so people would actually watch it. One of the best anime I've ever seen.

I would have the last two episodes of Kuuchuu Buranko (Trapeze) swap places. Sure, the final episode includes all the characters we've met from the rest of the series, but that second-to-last episode is SO INSPIRATIONAL and SO EMOTIONAL that the lackluster final episode ended the anime on a relative low instead of a high.

I've been getting into Seinen anime lately, like Shirobako, Denki-Gai, and Bartender. I'm also a sucker for romantic comedies, and romantic plots or subplots in general.

However, my favorite anime of all time include Fullmetal Alchemist (both the original and Brotherhood), Kaiba, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

I'm looking forward to discovering and expanding my taste in anime with all our fellow Desus on Desu Daily! I'm super excited!
