1) I want to see this movie.
2) Liev Schreiber is an excellent comedic actor. I want to recommend the movie Mixed Nuts, but I haven't seen it in quite some time and now I am worried that I will find the treatment of his character problematic.

The Sellout is so good. So so good. It might be my favorite ToB book, although I liked quite a few and am having a hard time ranking them (no brackets for me).

Right now, I'm trying to finish The Sympathizer before it comes up again on Monday. This is the first year that I've read most of the TOB books and I'm finding that I'm enjoying it a lot more than previous years because I know what everyone is talking about.

I've become a convert to RescueTime, a browser extension that basically spies on you and tells you how unproductive you've been. Sometimes you need the guilt of an all-seeing computer Big Brother to get moving on that conference paper.

I've had some luck buying tapestries from Society6.com They are sort of Etsy/Cafe Press-ish? Prints from indie artists in a variety of media, but the tapestries are nifty--you can get a HUGE one for less than $100. And there are frequently coupon codes.
