( +1 point) Grilling the meat that you hunted, killed, and butchered yourself to a perfect medium rare.

(-1 Point) Grilling the Tofu that you special ordered from vegan-d-lite.com so it gets the pretty grill marks.

In the Army, we got MRE's (meals ready to eat) in them are one serving packets of Folgers Instant Coffee grounds. If you had night guard duty you would save these and if you started to get a little tired you would ad a drop of water and turn it into a gummy wad. you would then place that wad between your lip and gum and enjoy the pleasant flavor.... whether It was the caffeine or fighting the urge to not throw up, you stayed awake.

No. If Jay was expecting Jimmy to be nice and not make fun of him then he is a moron. I really feel that there is no "too far" in this situation.

You know its times like this that I remember how lucky we are as a nation. If you look at that picture you see the stone wall in the background. That is not an earthquake safe structure. The small area of our country that is prone to earthquakes has a very big infrastructure that can handle that kind of event. Billions of dollars and the smartest minds have made earthquake proof buildings and bridges. Those kind of events don't happen in this country. If we have a statewide wild fire army's of fire fighters are dispatched to keep damage down and lost lives at a minimum. When Katrina hit the gulf almost 2,000 people died. If that kind of storm would have hit a country like Haiti, it could have wiped out most of the population of the island out.

I really don't have a point to all of this. I just have these thoughts that go through my mind when I hear about these kind of things.

I think you are right. I haven't looked it up yet. Its one of those things I kinda don't want to know. Is it me or does Quadrillion sound like a planet from Star Trek?

Anytime my friend. Get yourself a puppy. That's how I do it. I come home and my little gladiator is always incredibly happy to see me.

Well I feel ya buddy. Towards the end of GW's time in office, I was really starting to get tired of some of the choices that he was making and not making. I don't know what to do anymore. Like I have said in numerous recent posts, I thought that our congressmen were people above reproach. I think that anymore you have to be a sleazeball to work in Washington. With nothing but backdoor deals and multimillion dollar buyouts I can't see how this can continue to work much longer. With our debit in the trillions (without looking it up, does anyone know what comes after trillion?) and climbing, China owns more and more of this country. When they come to collect on there loans what is going to happen? I too am worried about what is going to happen. I continue to go to work every, pay my bills, and love my wife. I dont know what else to do either Tom...

Tom,
Try this program. http://www.free-av.com/ I have had good luck with that as a program. Also you may want to look into Carbonite.com or something like that for a backup I used it as well and liked it. Hope all goes well.

Sorry to get in on this so late, I am starting a new job, getting married, and fixing up a new house to live in once that happens so things are a little crazy.

Ethan,
To say you are comparing apples to oranges is not quite strong enough. Its more like comparing apples to Automatic machine gun fire. I was raised in protestant faith structure not catholic so some of the minor details are different but the general message is still the same. You are correct that Christ taught forgiveness and I believe that if he is truly repentant of what he has done then as a man he should be forgiven.
Many posts ago, when the Pittsburgh Penguins were on the road to Lord Stanley's Cup, and against all odds won it, (GO PENS!!!) I believe that it was Benjie's post where it was stated that it seems that hockey was the only major sport that wasn't full of players that were messing around with girls, shooting themselves, or on trial for taking drugs. I think that the NFL could have done well to say no to having Vick reinstated. There are lots of children that look up to a lot of these players as heroes and Michael Vick is no hero. This is part of the penalty of going to jail. For the rest of your life you are affected by the choices you make. This one is no different
