Wow! You were right on the money today! Good job. I have never seen hail in my life like I saw tonight, and it seems to have occured right inside your circled area. Keep up the good work, Justin.
Am I the only one who thinks this is a really sad story? Especially given the season. It was wrong for them to steal the electricity, but it probably kept them from dying in the cold. It's always sad when someone's living conditions IMPROVE by going to jail. I hope things end up getting better for them.
When I look at the radar, and the snow that has already fallen, I can't help but think we're going to get a little more than 2 additional inches. In Cedar Rapids, that is.
Yeah this "puke" Shayne that"s going off to fight a war that you don't have the ability or courage to fight. Go ahead, show up at his address when his tour is done and see what a tough guy you are. Pretty noble of you to make underhanded threats toward a U.S. Marine who has more than repaid his debt to society for a youthful transgression. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'm sure you would enlist and pull your own weight too if you weren't a 300 lb armchair commando living at your mama"s house.
Okay, this guy Shayne signed up to defend YOUR freedoms after doing something stupid as a teen. Okay, he killed some ducks, in a stupid drunken teenage moment. Now he's going off to kill the Taliban and Al Qaeda who have killed thousands of our soldiers, and countless civilians, including those thousands of civilians that lost their lives in manhattan on 9/11. SEEING AS HOW THOUSANDS OF DUCKS WILL BE KILLED HERE IIN iOWA IN A FEW WEEKS DURING 1ST SEASON DUCK, you fools need to cut this guy a break. He is doing far more for the welfare of our nation than any of you non-serving internet scabs have done, or ever will. Give the poor guy some credit for manning up, admitting his mistake, and doing something none of you keyboard commandos would ever have the balls to do. Until you all have the intestinal fortitude to wear the uniform and take your liks, shut your pansy mouths. He admitted his wrong, and changed his life. Give him some credit for that.
I wonder why not? Could you possibly ask again once things have simmered down a bit. There are a lot of us who are curious about what weapon the man chose to defend himself with, and obviously became proficient with.
Yes, the .44 special has a lot of street cred from the police in Texas and other southern states where they were issued before the high-cap 9mm"s became stylish. It is a better stopper than the .45,9mm and the .357 MAG. And who knows if this was a .44 spl,44 Mag, or a >44 Russian. Doesen't seem to have mattered. It did what it was supposed to do when called upon.
As the father of a 4 year old boy also, this is sad beyond belief. There is a special place in heaven, in Jesus' arms for little ones who are dealt horror by the hands of the ones who they trusted and loved. And there is another "special" place somewhere else for the ones who would harm a defenseless little one like Colin. RIP little one, where you are now is immune from the sickness of where you spent your first 4 years!
I think that EVERYONE who can legally carry should be armed and trained. Kinda what our founding fathers envisioned. Believe it or not, even self-defense shootings like this would become less common, as criminals would think twice before committing armed violent crime.
Excellent point. I'm sure the very last thing he wanted to do when he started his work shift was to be forced to take two lives.
