The only match that REALLY stands out in my memory from the past year is Taryn vs Gail at Slammiversary.

The next closest would probably be from when Aries and Roode were tagging against Bad Influence earlier in the year, but I don't remember the exact Impact date, so probably not...

Well, that was a very good read. Like Talon said, not the usual sarcasm, but that's cool. It's great to see that you're able to write different styles successfully. And I've said it before, but I love a good, long read. So thanks for that.

I haven't been as in love with the Dixie character as you, but it's not horrible either. I do think that they need to make AJ's matches in other promotions more known though. Right now, it's more of an IWC thing and not common knowledge. He probably needs to make some run-ins or appearances on IMPACT to really put this storyline over. And hopefully sooner than later, as most people have ADD nowadays.

And I agree on EC3 100%. His buildup was very good, he has a good look and he's good in the ring. I hope they have him enter the midcard soon and cheat his way through some opponents.

Mickie gets my vote. She was awesome for the short time she was given.

This is a hard category to pick, because we need to separate the character aspect from the wrestler as a whole. Very interesting idea.

I agree. Though Gail has consistently put out quality matches against the entire roster, we have come to expect that from her, and while that isn't fair, that's life.

Taryn however came in and no one expected anything from her. I honestly thought she would be a Kelly Kelly clone, but she had a good storyline earlier this year, and a MOTY contender, which was amazing. I think she takes this category just for being so much better than we thought she'd be.

We've had a handful of stand-out X Division competitors this year, but my vote goes to Manik. He and Sabin have been given the most time on screen and have had the biggest pushes, but Sabin's push was far too lackluster. I love the guy, and he has come back STRONG since his injury, but they pushed him almost immediately to win the Heavyweight Championship, which takes him out of the X Division, obviously.

Manik has been a consistent presence for the past year, and has been able to get over, despite that horrible beginning when he was beaten and unmasked for no reason. Manik has been entertaining and brought some stability to the division.

Sounds like he used the term correctly to me.
