Sentimental attachment, of course. Sam was nothing if not sentimental, and he'd keep those pots long after he had no need for them.

TONS of it! There is outright slash, and gen, and gen that makes you thinks its slash, and slash that makes you think its gen. There are drabbles and dribbles and poems and AU scenarios of every type and ficlets and short stories and long stories. ..

I've even dipped a toe myself at the shallow end. (Drabbles and dribbles, gen.)

And yet, if an actor is fully into his role, and feeling the feelings, then certain reactions like that will follow-- it's like being able to call up tears for a scene...

I feel bad for them anyway-- they didn't ASK to be ridden thousands of miles to be in a war.
