I suspect the socialist "village" could raise these kids to be as morally corrupted as their village raised parents are....

The authoritative Catechism of the Catholic Church relegates immigrationas being the business of the laity. The leftist bishops who played that game are neither the "Church" nor the laity.

Good question and Catholics well know that the Church refused the divorce because it is the church of God and Jesus forbids such casual abuse of His instituted sacrament of marriage and could not fail to do the job it was commissioned to do by God. Such, would have been outrageous. The Church, though frail, is still the earthly agent of God and not subject to comply with the church of secular immorality -though God knows, not all or each individual within it, or it's hierarchy, complies -remember the early Church started with that hand-picked Apostle named Judas?

It would be a grievious mistake to confuse the Catholic Church's hierarchy with the tending left (before Dolan) USCCB which from it's inception had to be constantly reprimanded by Rome -in fact one aggressive but faithful Roman Catholic reminded the American Bishops council what few today realize (including Rush Limbaugh's rant against the hierarchy today) the national bishops council are not -repeat, not, part of the Church's hierarchy (only individual bishops are under the direct authority of the pope.) Who was that aggressive but faithful Catholic? NOn other than Cardinal Ratzinger -the present pope, Benidict XVI

The "spirit of Vatican II" finished the job with Jesuits pushing Marxist liberation theology (think of Obama's religion and pastor Wright) and radicalized nuns and priests pushed justice and peace and woe and behold, along came ...shhh...Gay seminaries and a complete unadmitted schism in the Church of Rome.
We are looking at both Churches today -Dolan of Rome and those bishops who slipped millions donated to the poor to ACORN to help elect the most pro-death (including infanticide) president in history -Obama.
Meanwhile , the failure to respond to the decades of moral confusion and attacks from the irreligious left within the Church has resulted in a poll a week or so ago. that 55% of leftist Catholic Connecticut intends to give this evil another four years to finish the job.
86 Bishops of 350 or so have personally responded to Obama's attack on religious and conscience freedom -the end of America. As Christ asked the returning leper (He cured ten) where are the others?

Well, here in Gestopo-like Connecticut, we had the same "attempt" by two gay legislators who decided to take away the bishops job through this "election" game. The sometimes passive bishop rallied the troops to amass at the capitol where thousands brought a halt to the game of the anti-God politicians.
As St. Paul said, we need to be forever on guard, watching the Powers and Principalities below as they roam about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Remember when, for nigh onto two-millenium, the salvation of souls was the mission if the Church instead of turning charity over to Caesar under the "social justice" ever since the 1960's/70's revolution against all authority -religious and secular - and the "spirit of Vatican II" ,emptied the pews, seminaries and convents and loosed the moral anarchy in America?
