Because of Regency romances, I still think "amused" is one of the most romantic expressions (especially in grey eyes) and the arching of one (eye)brow the epitome of wit.

Also, liberal or unprogrammed Friends are not the only kind! Lots of Quakers with ministers and more interest in Scripture in the Midwest US and Kenya, for example. For a religion interested in unity, we sure have had a lot of rifts and schisms.

Ben Pink Dandelion's little book Quakers: A Very Short Introduction is very good. https://www.quakerbooks.org/book/quakers There's also a series of videos called QuakerSpeak in which various Quakers talk about Quakering. And (separate from these) I happen to love the very silly video What Does George Fox Say, which is surprisingly comprehensive and uses a lot of founder George Fox's words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhsvqbCIaAs (The phrase "guardian angel" is a weird one, though.)

I am very happy to post about my friend's company, which makes climbing gear for pregnant women (but not only them): "MOUNTAIN MAMA exists for a simple reason. Women who play outdoors should have stylish, functional clothing for all stages of life, including maternity. We combine innovative technical fabrics and design to create clothing women can wear comfortably on the trail and in town, before, during and after pregnancy." Their perfect tagline is "Expecting Adventure", they pay attention to workers and the environment, and the lovely clothes come in many colors. My friend is herself a climber, and started the company when she couldn't find decent gear when pregnant. Full disclosure: I'm not an athlete so I haven't actually worn any of these clothes. http://www.mountain-mama.com/

Thank you for pointing that doodle out - I had missed it! In return, may I offer my favorite rock & roll theremin? Here is Dorit Chrysler taking Trentemoller over the top (if you don't want to watch the whole thing, the theremin comes in about 2:15 and then boy howdy): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0gTZ6A0waE
