It's getting to where you can't sling a dead cat without hitting an Animal Rights Activist in Rowan County!
What woud you propose Beth, a 24 hour Animal Shelter? Do you have money to pay for that? Not many people out looking to adopt a dog or a cat at 7:00 a.m., I don't think it would be a wise use of their resources to be open at that time. They have their set hours, they have guidelines to work under, and if they deviate, these aniaml rights vigilantes are waiting to jump on them. This story not true, its 100% made up!
The only secrecy is on the part of the A.R. crowd and their closed door invitation only meetings. They are corrupt and have been found out.
You can be a very responsible pet owner without spaying or neutering your animal. You can't show an animal that has been altered in AKC events, and then of course you can't breed it. I know hundreds of dog owners who do not spay or neuter their dogs for just that reson, there are no unplanned pregnancies. The Rowan County restraint ordinance provides for preventing unplanned breedings, if it were complied with, there would be no animal issues in Rowan County.
I have it on good authority that this is a planned attack, all of these letters to the editor with made up scenarios to blacken Animal Control's reputation. I hate for you guys, but there's a mole among you!
The jig is up!
Regardless of why they're there, and I know at least 2 of them very well and they are NOT "just there for the paycheck" they do their jobs professionally and by the book. That's why the shelter is opened at scheduled hours, and that's why they do NOT euthanize cats before the waiting period is up. Tust me, I know!!!!!!
Let's see, the local Animal Rights activists want County Services restructured and scheduled to suit their needs, they want to be exempt from the leash law so that their neighbors can bask in the joy of irresponsible cat ownership along with them, is anybody keeping score? What sort of kool-aid are they feeding themselves at their little secret meetings/ceremonies?
Deborah Smith's letter is the result of a closed door meeting with some local self-proclaimed animal rescuers, It's part of their orchastrated effort to smear the good name of Rowan County Animal Control. Even with truth and ethics suspended, and imagination unrestrained, the worst that they can come up with is that our Animal Control is following the regulations that govern them precisely. There were no kittens, just a poorly written short work of fiction.
"Sweet" was sarcasm. I don't think you would know intelligent or the truth if bit you.
