Honestly, I've had enough. I've been a fan of the WWE for 19 years, and I've been on these boards under one name or another for like 3-4 years now, I think. I've complained about this product for nearly that entire time. There have been some bright spots since the WWE hit the skids years ago. The Debut of Nexus, the Shield's Run, CM Punk's pipebomb, The ascension of Daniel Bryan, etc... But overall, it's just been year after year of extremely long stretches of mediocrity or worse since like 2007. And I leave sometimes and then I come back, but as I sit here with this recorded Raw, I recognize that I'm done. In the same way I walked away for several years back in 2009. I just don't feel this, anymore.

It's not just the misuse of Dean Ambrose in this feud, or Bray Wyatt to Cena, or Cesaro after Mania, etc... It's not the total waste of talent, putting great wrestlers into stuff like Fandango, Adam Rose, The New Day or Los Matadores. Mortgaging the serious futures of guys like Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes, for short-sighted gimmicks that, while mildly entertaining, almost ensure they'll never be taken seriously as champion someday, like a Rock or Austin or Flair would. It's just all of it.

I hate the lack of stories, I hate how the product insults my intelligence, I hate the childish characters, I hate how less talented wrestlers are shoehorned over better ones because they are big, I hate the booking, I hate the 20 minute Cena/HHH/Show promos, I just hate everything. And I think to myself, why do I do this anymore? Why do I watch week after week and complain about this show, when I could be spending this time watching the UFC, or the NFL, or Game of Thrones, or Anime, or Netflix, or any of the millions of things on TV where they really try to give you the entertainment you seek?

It's just not worth it, anymore. And as defenders of the WWE are so quick to say: "If you hate it so much, why do you watch it?" It's been out of habit, hoping it will be great again. But, I'm just tired of doing that, so I'm done. I know I'll be back someday. But, as I fan, I'm just done. So, it's been fun talking with you guys. But, I'm out of here. You guys all have a Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and good lives. Peace.

Get well soon, Tully.

On an aside, is it okay if we label moments like this: "Party's Over Grandpa" moments? Or would that be inappropriate?

Until I hear he's been working with a boxing coach, I am unconvinced.

But..."What if" I stayed? Would I have eventually fulfilled my dream of main eventing Wrestlemania?

There's always a "What If".

Might as well. Hell, it's better than the champion hardly being around, and Hogan being used to just plug the Network.

I'm sure that's what people were saying in the early 90's. And then BOOM. NWO.
All it takes is one idea to bring back a renaissance.
It'll be much harder though, since the WWE absolutely killed Kayfabe. It's like every magician everywhere went on TV and exposed every trick you ever saw. Of course, you know it's not REAL magic, but there's a mystique to not knowing the truth. You strip it away and the mystique is dead. That's what the WWE did to wrestling. They stripped away the Mystique of it.

We will never know the truth. Because everybody vouches for Ryback, but if he was alone with Punk when this conversation happened, they wouldn't know it. But, I can't see why Punk would just single him out and completely fabricate a story. But, Jericho vouches for his in-ring work. Who knows? All I know is that Ryback just made Punk look pretty bad with the way he stood tall here and took the high road.

Anybody else see that news article about wrestlers holding a silent protest in order to boot McMahon and replace him with HHH as the creative director? Pretty interesting stuff if true. Not ironically, Cena is trying to fight in favor of his Sugar Daddy VInce. I'm sure he's noticed the writing on the wall with guys like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose calling. He's trying to kill the new blood off as much as he can with that whole: "You're going to have to go through me" garbage. And what he's done to the likes of Cesaro, Sandow, Barrett and Bray's pushes. But he can't fight an entire new generation. Especially not if they rebel backstage.

It's time for Vince to go and for the new blood to get their chance.

I'm sure they haven't forgotten how they were slighted when they went to the WWE before for not shaking the right hands. And besides, the WWE pays these guys crap to start. And being a tag team? They're guaranteed to be mishandled and placed in a dead division. With them being a top indie tag team, I'm sure they're doing fine financially and can afford to say "no". That being said, though, I still would've taken the deal. Even with the idea that ultimately my career would fail in the WWE. Simply because being a former WWE superstar gets you paid more on the indie scene. And hey, there's the EXTREMELY slim chance they don't botch your career or screw you over and you become a star. Now you're rich!

I honestly didn't even know it happened until I saw the Ziggler interview with Cole in which they were talking about how he finally beat Rollins. I was like: "What are they talking about? Survivor Series?".
