This might be my problem? Also, I'm a little shy about jumping into the conversation. For some reason, Internet socializing intimidates me in a way that real-life interaction does not.

Yes, I definitely have a problem with the female guilt issue and feeling like other people's comfort is my responsibility. It's something I have been trying to work on, with varying degrees of success.

I am short and have kind of a young-looking face, so I'm not very intimidating. The personal space bubble that I need to be comfortable isn't even that big, and some people seem to take my willingness to engage in conversation or, say, to dance with them, as an invitation to touch me in ways that I'm not at all OK with.

Re inappropriate touching: Does anyone have good strategies for shutting it down and feeling positive about the outcome? I always end up feeling crappy about the whole thing and coming up with a zillion ways I could have handled it better way after the fact.

Doing calf raises makes me have to poop. I can't figure out any anatomical reason why this should be true, but it definitely is.
