I am disappointed in Sarah Palin for taking most of the stimulus money because of public pressure. I still respect her and realize she does work for the people. I just wish our elected officials would make a difficult decision even if it is not a popular one if it is for the greater good. Gov Mark Sanford of SC will still not take the money no matter how much pressure he is under but he realizes the level of debt it will cause. this may cost him the next election but at least he is sticking by his principals.
I don’t think any elected official should be able to switch parties during their term. As much as i am glad he is out of the party he was elected republican and that is a spit in the face of everyone who voted for him.If he is not happy with the direction of the party i have no problem with speaking out about it. But if you are hired to do a job and then decide you want to switch positins i don’t know about your boss but mine would tell me to do what i was hired to do or get out. The people who voted for him are his boss. Any vote he makes should count as republican untill his term is up. Then he can switch parties for the next election.
I would like for every american to say the pledge of allegiance every day(THIS MEANS YOU ELECTED OFFICIALS!!!.) to remind us that we are one nation under GOD !!!!!!
