Funny, and very right. During my assignment at Andrews AFB I had the displeasure of seeing her up close more than once. It's amazing what a make-up artist can do to make a nag look passable on national television.
I'd recommend doing it without attributing it to the author -- Just start with "One Troll wrote this stupid thing.....
AmericanOnly, I asked almost this same question last week, and got roughly 8 replies. Most said yes, but had lost faith. My point remains that if the majority of us contact our politicians on every one of these outrages each time a fresh one pops up (2 - 3 times a week seems to be the production rate of the administration) we may be able to affect some change, even if it is small due to the fact (at least for now) that they do face re-election periodically. Once they are knighted and hold honors for life, all bets are off...only money and power will talk then.
PRINCESSPACKNA9, some people from this site have formed a group to do more than complain...912 Roll Call. I recommend you apply for membership as we need all the help we can get. Talk to US1911a.
Invitation accepted, but my DESprinter alias is not being accepted my Yahoo. Suggestion?
Maybe I should change my name to M&P9L or BAR? 1911a, I agree that this approach shows promise, and I'm in contact with a conservative senator in Delaware to see how much support there is for a State's Rights stand.
TearEmUp, I feel sorry for you, living in Illinois. I have a friend who lives in The Devil's Den (Chicago) and after multiple attempts to get a response from Dick Durbin, she finally did...and it was laughable. He responded to her conservative concerns by responding as if he were a CONSERVATIVE! She read the response to me and I couldn't stop laughing. I never knew Durbin was such a comedian! OK, so maybe contacting your reps is useless for Illinois and San Francisco residents. Since there really is no hope for these areas, moving someplace else may be your only hope for sanity.
I'm reading a lot of interesting stuff here, most of which I agree with. What I seldom see is references to contacting our representatives. I make my feelings known to my Senators and Representative regularly. There are now over 600,000 members of this project. If each of us regularly contacted our representatives in the Federal Obamament and demanded attention, it would be noticed. I'm not saying things would instantly change, but politicians want to get re-elected (why else would Democrats pushing back on anti-gun legislation?) and can be influenced when enough people raise their voices. Are we raising our voices effectively?
I do find some comfort in the fact that it is our side that has all the arms......
