Strange that she's missing in 82, and not found until 85 in a cemetery that people visit, and where caretakers mow. Also odd that the cousin didn't suspect it was her until now. Glad that most have been ID'd, but so sad that three remaining women still have nobody to step up and ask about where they went. Even sadder that Ridgeway is still alive, eating well, with a roof over his head, on taxpayers money. And they say the system works?
I'd say that anyone who has admitted killing someone, and subsequently ate their heart and brain, should be put out of their (and our) misery.
That's a dangerous highway for sure. My husband witnessed a head on fatality on the same highway two years ago. The driver suffered a heart attack, and drove straight onto the opposite lane. Guess we never know when our timer is up. Condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
My grandfather was the mayor of Oakridge back in the 50's. Back then, it was a thriving logging town. Now, it's more like a ghost town with boarded up businesses. It's beautiful in it's location, but horrible where the location is. Eugene is the closest major city to it, but that's about an hours drive away. A big 'thank you' to the anonymous donor for helping the folks still living there. Save Oakridge!!!
I'm impressed with her remembering all the details about him. Usually it's just skin, hair color, and approx weight, which could be attached to a bazillion suspects.
I usually don't mind spiders. But man....that would scare the crap out of me if I came upon it! Thankfully it didn't find it's way into her house, and cuddle up with her on her pillow.
Did you even stop to think before making such a heartless comment? Perhaps it's been ripped out of her head over time by the SOB, or she's in constant worry so the alopecia took over. No matter what happened to her hair, does it really matter KRAMR?
Sometimes leaving isn't an option in some situations. Some men just feel they 'own' their wives, and that they can torture and abuse them whenever they feel like it. How long can a person go on taking it though? Perhaps she tried leaving, only for him to find her and make it even worse. Remember the movie 'The Burning Bed' with Farrah Fawcett? A true story of a sadistic husband, and a woman who finally snapped. This woman saved her own life. Unfortunately, she'll most likely have to serve time, as they'll find her guilty of manslaughter in the end. Nobody wins in this case.
Exactly! And many times, the way they think not to get caught, is to next time kill their victims so they can't tell on them.
Ask the child rape victim if they feel better knowing the boogey man that hurt them 10 years ago, will never hurt them again. If Jerry Ray was convicted of one count of child rape, then statistically, there are many more of his victims before or after still out there. Sure, they may do the time, but it doesn't keep them from re-offending. They are NEVER cured!
