This sounded a bit like you heard one relatively famous blogger didn't like something and just jumped on the band wagon. Whether the author deserves it or not, it's still a bad habit to want to see something get "tore into" simply because someone else doesn't like it. Still, I suppose these blogs are meant to be taken with some level of seriousness. Try reading the first chapter or two before picking up your pitchfork and torch. Then at least you can say you tried and it was, indeed, in poor taste for you.
