Our brothers were friends growing up, and in fact, I think I'm still facebook friends with one of them myself. This was beautifully written, and heartbreaking. I'm sick inside every time I hear something like this, which, since I'm in Chicago, is all the damn time. I'll be saving this in my back pocket for the next time some asshole talks about how BLM protestors should be more polite, or how POC could just avoid trouble by not breaking the law.
Blame Sandy and Dennys. Basically the only thing that is interesting about them is their vegetable garden.
The "middle years" of Anne of GG are the best - I absolutely love Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, and Anne's House of Dreams. Things go downhill fast after the move to Ingleside.
For me, I think A Swiftly Tilting Planet is my favorite in the series. I find it so moving, and the idea of the interconnected nature of past and future is fascinating to consider. I go back to it again and again.
Honestly? I feel like Calvin would be totally cool with a sabbatical. He's a sport.
