Obama drags down hopes for Dem governors race in Va.
Salisbury police should be at catching the bad guys instead of guarding the City Council. Why are so many police at each Salisbury Ctiy Council meeting?
Wonderdud, did the Nazis and Russia use forced annexation? Does being legal make it right? Dare you answer that one? Did being legal make slavery right? Did being legal make it right that only property owners voted? Care to answer? Did being legal make child labor ethical? You said "Nazi's they are! Slave owners they were! They are the sons and daughters of abusers of child labor!" I did not say that, but you did. You know them a lot better than I do. So does being legal make forced annexation right and ethical? Of course you can not truthfully answer that one and keep your job can you? The boss David Treme thinks it is legal and ethical and the American way to use forced annexation. You certainly do not want to cross bossTreme do you? Do you really care to debate the forced annexation issue? Then bring it on. I'll be waiting for your answer to all of the above. You will answer won't you?
"Although The Washington Post endorsed Creigh Deeds for governor last Sunday, yesterday's editions did not report happy news for the Democratic nominee. According to a Page One story, White House insiders already are blaming the Deeds operation for what they see as an inevitable defeat.
The goal is to shift blame from the Obama administration to the Deeds team, which, the high-hat schemers assert, did not follow advice from the Obama apparatus or, for that matter, from Tim Kaine, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee who moonlights as governor of Virginia. The unnamed sources cowered behind anonymity.
Washington is a nasty place, made worse in this instance by a dash of politics Chicago-style. Deeds deserves better than this." From a Richmond VA newspaper. ACORN better get to work if Deeds is to win. LOL The article title should be "Obama throws another of his own under the bus".
"Candidates Charles Black, Carl Dangerfield, Blake Jarman, Benjamin Johnson and William Peoples all stated without equivocation that they would never support a forced annexation. All Salisbury voters need to keep these people in mind and go to the polls to vote on Nov. 3."
Don't count on any help from Obama. "Creigh Deeds, the Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia, has a Barack Obama problem. Obama won Virginia in last year's presidential race--the first Democrat to do so in 44 years--but his popularity in the state has plunged since then. Deeds is conflicted. Asked if he's an "Obama Democrat," Deeds said he's a "Creigh Deeds Democrat," whatever that is. And he's skipped two of three Obama appearances in Virginia during the campaign season.
The rub is Deeds can't live with Obama, and can't live without him. His campaign is sputtering, he trails Republican Bob McDonnell by 7 points or more in every poll, and the Democratic base is demoralized. He needs Obama's help in arousing voters and creating a Democratic surge in turnout on November 3.
Wonderdud, has bossTreme got you on short leash on unethical forced annexation? I'm waiting for your answer!! LOL Bring it on. You make snide comments - now give us substance. Tell us how you really feel about forced annexation. Do you think it is right to steal from your neighbors?
What can the Local Government Commission do? They can forced a rebate of taxes paid when no services are delivered. Why did the Salisbury City Council forcibly annex the Harrison Road residents when they could not provide services to them? Aren't the residents there being cheated when forced to pay city taxes without full services? They should apply to the Local Government Commission for a tax rebate. Wonderdud, you have some explaining to do. Why didn't you tell the Harrison Road victims about this?
Against unethical forced annexation are candidates "Benjamin Johnson, Carl Dangerfield, William Peoples, Charles Black, Blake Jarman All said emphatically that they opposed involuntary annexation. " Wonderdud, who does boss Treme prefer of those five for the new City Council? Has he told you yet? LOL
