I know this is off topic but I am posting this everywhere as it is soooooo important. We must GOTV in California this weekend:

Please tell all your friends and registered California voters that they must find time this weekend to show up and vote. Details at CADEM.org. These are for our state delegates for the Democratic Party. The date has come up on us very quickly so there hasn't been alot of time to get the word out. We need registered voters to go to CADEM.org and find out where their voting sites are per district. Voting days are either the 10th or 11th depending on the district. This is for 80 districts (58 counties) statewide. Pass the word on please and help us get people there for the vote throughout the state of California.

California.CAN as part of MyBO has put together a Slate For Change of delegates we recommend. If you would like to use that as a reference, and of course we recommend that you do, please see this link:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/pau...

Our entire slate should be finished posting by tomorrow a.m. Pass the link along to all your MyBO California groups and all those you know are registered to vote. Tell them to bring friends. In some ways, this weekend will be the kickoff of festivities for all that will come the rest of this month. So much celebrating to do. So much work to do as well. Thank you for your support. Get the word out. We need you know.

I don't think there is anything that should or can be said except, God Bless you and keep you and yours Mr. O. Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this emotional time. May you get enough sleep and have the time to grieve as you must. You know your mother is here and everywhere just laughing and smiling and so proud. She knew you would win. She knows. And now she can be with you every moment. In your heart.

What? Ha Ha? Thats what you logged on to say? Pitiful. You make anything else you have to say pathetic and meaningless. If you were really looking to get people together, you'd stop name calling and post a link to helping survivors of 9/11. This is a conversation about helping your community. Maybe when you sober up, you'll find the forum you meant to write on.

I, myself, was commissioned by the September 11th fund to create a film on the survivors. A couple of years later there were still people trying to figure out how to get themselves out of the house everyday, how to retrain for a new job, how to just make it through a day. So we interviewed those who had gotten help and how it helped, if it helped, and what's changed. If you were in NY that day, you entered a black hole that its really hard to get out of. For those who have made it, for the most of us, it was important to speak to those who still needed a handup and out.

Our troops are coming back to us from the War in Iraq equally trapped in a similar black hole. Where you drift off and only see horrible images loop in your brain. Its PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and groups all over the country are mobilizing to help those returning from the war overcome that which can be particularly crippling when you no longer have gunfire in the background to keep you going. Please search out a veterans organization near you and provide what support and reintegration services you can. This generation of youth, the brave, our sons and daughters who have fought in our name, need our hugs and help to come back to society. No matter where you stand on why we got into this war, it would appear that we were lied to about the connection to 911, and so helping fix the aftermath left behind in souls, those limping back home, that's a great place to put misplaced energy. Go hug a vet. Maybe then you'll take a request for community service a little more seriously.

Today was a good day. Our group FUTURE, Furthering Understanding & Tolerance Using Rational Engagement gathered two new groups we had not previously known into our fold. Also, we helped by letting ABC know how we felt about supporting our unions in the automotive industry and CNN know it was not ok to call the Blago scandal the "Obama and Blago" scandal.

Upcoming subjects we plan on taking head on include:
1. Keeping an eye on Bush's Executive Orders regarding our environment and pollution controls.
2. Putting out fires started by hate groups around the country
3. Spreading the bio information around on Obama's appointments and writing OpEds in support of the picks.

If there are any issues you feel need support or a spotlight, please let me know, and after we vet, we will rally the troops and Engage!

For those who are moderating or reading all or gathering this info, please know that I am specifically looking to link all these types of groups in Obama's name and trying to get a job doing it. I'll be in DC in January and already applied through the right channels. If you are looking for support to keep these groups somehow informed about issues and up to date on problems to focus on, please know that I wish to be of service, am particularly geared towards this type of position, and am willing to leave Maui and live in DC to do it.

Forwarding this info from my CAN groups:

You're invited to join the San Francisco County Group of the Community Action Network (CAN) on My.BarackObama.com:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/SanFranciscoCaliforniaCAN

Everyone who wants to participate is welcome. This is the SanFrancisco.California.CAN County Group of the National Community Action Network.

Each County in California is forming their County.California.CAN groups now and we hope to have all 58 Counties set up by Christmas !

The State Groups allow two Delegates per MyBO Group Active in California, or per "County.CAN" MyBO Group. We have set this up to make Community Action easy at the County and State level.

Connecticut.CAN is setting up their State as well - and so are the other States. We hope to have all 50 States set up on MyBO by the end of next week.

From what I hear, there is a harmonic going on now where more than one million of us want to get to work in our Counties and our States now.

We have set up the Mother Group - USA.CAN as well and all Delegates from the CountyName.StateName.CAN groups are welcome to join there as well as to join the StateName.CAN group for their specific State. We have 3,260 Counties to organize and this seems simple.

So you are welcome to join us here in the SanFrancisco.California.CAN group to see what we are up to locally.

Your existing MyBO Neighborhood Groups are welcome to pick two members to serve you as Delegates to both the California.CAN and USA.CAN groups and please have them send me their email request to join those two larger groups. I will add two Delegates per group - and we are using one Delegate as a voting Delegate and the second as your groups Alternate Delegate. This is not the Democratic, Republican, Green, or any other Political Party. This is just the members of MyBO who support the implementation of the Blueprint for America at the Federal, State, and Local levels of our Government.

Enjoy your Neighborhood Team Meetings and Home Gatherings this weekend.

If you want to read the full concepts of what many of us are joining into a large nationwide Community Action Network - you are welcome to read my personal blog on MyBO at http://My.BarackObama.com/page/community/blog/PaulCurrier

The Founding CAN group will be call our second meeting to order tomorrow at 10:00 am sharp at the Sailors Union of the Pacific Hall.

Care about the auto industry? Again, may seem off topic, but keeping those 3 million jobs helps our communities survive. ABC had erroneously reported that the union employees make $73 an hour. This anti union rhetoric has to be responded to. I love unions. If you don't, than please don't read on. If you do, than ABC needs to hear from you:

ACTION:
Tell ABC that it should correct its December 3 report that inaccurately characterized autoworker salaries.

CONTACT:
ABC World News
Phone:212-456-4040

Webform:
http://abcnews.go.com/Site/page?id=3271346&cat=World%20News%20with%20Charles%20Gibson
(Watch clip on YouTube.)

Watched the clip, than you'll note ABC did include a quote from UAW president Ron Gettelfinger, saying that he "bristled at blaming auto workers"--but ABC's newscast was as much behind the
finger-pointing as the industry is. As economist Dean Baker noted (Beat the Press, 11/18/08), this misinformation has serious consequences: "It certainly can affect public support for a bailout if they are led to believe that autoworkers are paid much more than is actually the case." ABC should correct
the record.

FUTURE says this is action you can take now. Lets support our local unions by supporting this very important one. Thanks for your help.
