Jennie, yes all mine back to you...maybe I need to post the same message a dozen time to get it posted.

I’m pleased with the siding and the color…I have the Hardie Plank on my home here in Florida…more of a sage color and a dark green metal roof….believe me it’s not cheap and it’s has added to the value of my home. I have traveled all over New England and see high end homes in this color scheme…it’s New England and in the end it was the majority choice of voters.
Jennie...for some reason my blogs and responses to you are not being posted...sorry, I wasn’t ignoring you .
I like the coments...I chose the birdbath...not thinking. The birdhouse would be better but not that design.
I voted post lights for in snow season they would look great and be more useful. Either the deck with seats or planters would work depending on how the planters are used or not. Plenty of space of outside furniture for seating. Make sure there are outside electrical outlets and maybe a quick disconect for propane, etc.
It it's you back exit you better shovel it or hire the kids next door.
I see no one has commented on the Radon gas subject however you brought it up and indicate your not concerned. Logic would be that you performed radon tests??? Air sampling kits are available and easy to use. Or, investigated the family history…and found no lung cancer related issues. Another concern with radon is with a well…and a water test for radon can answer that question. With all that being said, we are assured that this remodel has eliminated the other carcinogens from in lead paint and asbestos.

This might be a consideration for future remodeling...a little late after new shingles, skylights and sun tunnel installed.
