All anyone's concerned with is the images with slight sexual elements and other such nonsense while these soul-sucking, nightmare-fueling abominations run rampant!? Madness!

Coming from someone with seemingly similar tastes to yourself (judging by your admittance of adoration of FiW and your 2 favorite songs from the series), I can vouch for MAS's quality, especially in later episodes, and I highly recommend that you give it another chance.

It may not be nearly as good as FiW in my humble opinion, however, what it lacks in quality it more than makes up for in quantity, and I have found myself constantly rewatching/ listening to the episodes for the past week or so while doing other things. Its dialog-heavy nature and snappy writing make it a perfect thing to listen to while playing grindy videogames, cooking meals, etc.

Seeing as remixes of songs from the show are acceptable, I would like to recommend this particular "remix" of "The Pony I Want to Be"; a song that I consider to be one of the best, if not the best, in the series.

Every other remix of this song that I have heard is inferior to the original, in my opinion. This is the only one I have managed to find (through some serious perseverance, might I add) that is capable of exceeding the quality of what was presented in the actual show.

This being said, the word "remix" may not be entirely applicable in this case, since it would seem it is merely a re-score (background music change) along with slight alterations to the original vocals. I am also uncertain what genre this would be considered so I would be very appreciative, if someone could assist me.

(Also, a quick note, but I consider the rest of this Youtuber's remixes to be utterly terrible, yet somehow he managed to hit gold with this one. No offense to the person in question, of course, I am just unsure whether or not these music recommendations require the composer/ remixer to be consistently good or not, since it would seem these posts are to allow bronies exposure to more good upcoming artists instead of merely showcasing a singular, high-quality work of music.)

I feel like you are completely missing the point of the humor in this song though. Cleary the intent of the creators was for what transpired in this song to not be taken seriously. A good example is Twilight finding Shining Armor in that box outside her door and proceeding to lick him across the face; her tongue still hanging out of her mouth like an excited dog thereafter. Something like this is just so over the top that I find it hard to see how people take it seriously. I may be against incest irl, but seeing such a controversial and promiscuous subject matter being presented so unabashedly amongst cute and cuddly ponies is just absolutely hilarious in my opinion.

I don't think it would have been nearly as humorous if the tone of the song was adjusted to meet your specifications, as it would turn the subject matter (which was presented in a way that ASSUMES the audience is already aware that incest is "wrong") into an unfunny, perhaps even morally condescending lecture about how the acts depicted are objectionable.

In other words, it would be pointing out the obvious and feel like a slap in the face to anyone who has common sense.

P.S. I know it's been mentioned to death already, but on the off chance that you have not read any of these particular comments and don't remember the specific details of the song/ episode in question, Shining Armor is NOT her "real" (biological) brother, thereby making the whole "incest is morally objectionable" point moot. I understand that it would still be socially unacceptable if an adopted brother and sister were to express their sexual longing for one another irl, but it cannot be truly considered incest in my mind since the biological relation is frankly not there. (The main reason I acknowledge incest as being "wrong" or unnatural is due to the potential birth defects which are commonplace as a result of sibling-related conception. I am fully aware that others may disagree, but just giving you my perspective).
