Good thing I didn't get my hopes up. GSN primetime is so unappealing and it doesn't look to change any time soon.
Great show. I sat watching with my jaw open for at least 10 seconds after A turned green and C stayed orange. It sucks but he's definitely in the record books now. He'll end up on a Trivial Pursuit card one day.

As much as I’m excited to have daytime game shows again, I really hoped Pyramid would join. My only fear is that if they don’t get creative enough, it will just look like a watered down Price is Right. I’m grateful… just disappointed. I’m partially upset (and again, don’t get me wrong, I’m very, very glad that a game is back in daytime, it could open up a whirlwind of opportunity) because I prefer a more cerebral game. With Price as an hour show, they can mix it up a little, but an hour of “What’s behind door Number 2?” might not keep attention. Don’t let my piece of negativity dampen the parade, though, I’m going to watch the new LMAD every opportunity I get.
Good Lord. Even if I wanted to watch the show, I'm not sure I could with that (lack of) organization.
If they had made it more GSN Live, less MADtv, we could've had something. Also, note to Keegan: If you find yourself on live TV again, try not to talk to your producer while he's talking to you in your IFB.
I like the on-screen Bullseye graphics and sounds. The graphics for the family names and the earned amounts are neat too, but I'd still prefer they'd keep it on the backdrop.
And Jason, it's still $5/point. I'd like to see them raise it to $10, but eh.
I'm still holding out hope for a return of Password, especially since the 6/28 & 7/5 repeats of the program garnered more viewers in its timeslot than the new episode of Big Brother 7/12 (Hell, they even beat the PREMIERE of Big Brother!) But damn those 18-34 demos.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. It's fairly ridiculous to be honest with you. That's really expensive for a weekly show, in addition to the other prizes given away throughout the week. Ain't gonna happen.
And Taylor, the Junket article mentioned that the co-host/announcer (basically taking over the old Jay Stewart role) is a relative unknown named Jonathan Mangum. His most prominent role was on The Drew Carey Show and Drew's Green Screen Show. So, he too comes from the world of interaction and improv.
It looks really good and sounds like it's being taken care of the right way, but my only gripe is that a lot of the games from the 60s, 70s and 80s are very similar to some of the pricing games used on Price. Putting those two shows back-to-bzck (or 10 & 11) might get tiresome for the audience to see pretty much the same thing they saw at 10 on at 11. If they can find a balance of new games that don't rely heavily on prices, then I'm all for it. Anything to keep the Dating Game out of the running, anyway.
