Perhaps if they replaced the line "Muhammad was a Prophet who knows nothing about football" with "Jesus was the Son of God and was not a paedophile who raped a 9 year old girl" that might appease them. Then again, maybe it wouldn't.

In any case, the whole point of football chants is to offend. :-)

Oh, and quite a few ones implying any particular player's wife was "playing away from home" chanted at some random player on the pitch.

"He's fat, he's round, he bounces off the ground" was the less than respectful chant that used to greet the late Bob "where's my pension" Maxwell when he was chairman of some club.

Yes, if you change the definition of rape from a man having unconsensual sex with a woman to a man having unconsensual sex with a woman where the were 4 male muslim witnesses (of good character) to the act who stood by and did nothing.

This change in definition would slash the rape figures in an instant. Best not give ZaNu Labour any ideas.

A few weeks ago, a Labour councillor in the UK refused to endorse another would be councillor because she was a Jew. To the best of my knowledge, he was never even disciplined.

When Channel 4 showed preachers of hate advocating killing gays in "Undercover Mosque" they (Channel 4) were nearly prosecuted for stirring up racial tensions (which race is islam again?), The silence from the Left was deafening.

But hey, if Jim Davidson makes a comment about "shirtlifters"(while also mentioning he has gay friends) the Left can smugly come out all guns blazing to denounce his homophobia.
