The winners seem like wonderful deserving people. Thanks for sharing the videos. I am amazed that their daughter was so well behaved. My daughters would have been jumping on the beds and running around! Not to mention I would have been worried that my girls probably would have given me an Art Linkletter show moment for all the world to see!!

It is not unusual to see a moose here even where you don't expect to see one. When I was a kid (5 million years ago) a moose came out onto the street when I was walking to school with other kids. We all ran back home. Last night I told my mom about the moose in Camden and she said that she and my aunt and uncle (up from Houston) saw one in the Portland area. My husband saw one in downtown Lewiston about a week ago.

Years ago I had one come up on my deck. My son and I were holding our dog back and forgot to shut the sliding glass doors. We stood in the kitchen until he left. He would not have fit in through the door anyway. And the most exciting moose encounter for me was when I was sunning on a lounge chair, had fallen asleep and woke to see a moose standing over me. I screamed and he made a scream like a fog horn. He ran one way and I ran the other into the house. He became a regular visitor as he had fallen, it seems, in love with one of our cows.

Wonder if there are moose wandering in Plymouth?

Maine moose strolls into downtown building
August 05, 2009 09:23 EDT

CAMDEN, Maine (AP) -- A 500-pound moose ambled into a downtown building in Maine and startled residents before being sedated by game wardens.

Resident Les Wainer, who'd just finished his morning coffee, was alarmed to discover the moose hanging out Tuesday in the lobby of the Knox Mill Center.

Camden police and building staff were able to corral the creature before game wardens arrived with a tranquilizer. It was set free in the Ruffingham Meadow State Game Management Area in Searsmont.

The Bangor Daily News says a filmmaker working on a Discovery Channel documentary about how moose interact with people caught the entire episode on film.

I would love to and will let you know if I do.... Right now I am battling what my doctor thinks may be Lyme Disease. That is why I have not been on much lately. But Plymouth is not all that far from me, so it is very possible!! :)
