I have recently started watching the various and sundry Kardashian shows and my crush on Kim grows and grows. Yes, her image is meticulously curated for public consumption BUT she comes across as kind, extremely business savvy (like, that's an understatement), she is very supportive of her family and is highly emotionally intelligent. I don't think those are bad attributes to model to the world. I don't think she has a dark side, we see pretty much all of her sides. Plus, she is beautiful, she rejoices in her beauty and she enjoys other people enjoying her beauty. I love Kim K and I don't care who knows it!!

I got hooked on the Toast over July 4th weekend 2013 with the post about books we hate. It was the MOST fun I had ever on a literary website and you have never let me down since. All the very best to all of you. Thank you SO MUCH for creating the space for such a wonderful community. And thank you to all the Toasties who have reached out over the last few months in support of various problems I've shared about in the comments. Sometimes it's hard for me to respond after I post in the morning and then I feel overwhelmed at night when I see how many of you have responded with support or advice. But it is so, so appreciated. I hope the party in NYC is really happening, I've just cleared my summer schedule.
Ok, I'm not gonna *read* the piece about the itching woman because I'm in the middle of a health anxiety crisis and I really can't let any new ideas about mysterious symptoms into my brain at the moment. I'm just curious if any other Toasties would identify as suffering from health anxiety (formerly known as hypochondriasis). I haven't conquered this issue by any means but I have trying to observe my patterns over the last few years. My partner has leukemia and is currently in relapse (maybe not for much longer though, yay!) It was like clockwork, once we finally turned a corner in terms of his treatment and approaching remission, my anxiety and worry immediately rerouted to focus on my own health and my own mysterious symptoms. So instead of feeling relief that we might be out of the woods, I am just an anxious mess but about ME this time. The last 5 months have been really tough, lots of uncertainty and I know for sure that has had an effect on my physical and emotional well-being. Ugh I've been dealing with this for 15-20 years now! And I've diagnosed myself with every malady under the sun! Sorry for going off topic and off the rails here. Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this.
