Like the others have said, it can be painful... but in the way that a good massage can hurt. I know it's working the knots out of my muscles. And really, you do feel good afterwards!
I'm an avoid proponent of foam rolling! Since I've started working out, foam rolling after my workout has helped decrease the cramps I often get in my legs and feet. I mean, I still get some cramps and my calf muscles are often still sore, but it's much less often. Yay scientific studies!
I had some bad experiences when I was first trying out BC, about 8 years ago, so I was really nervous. But I wanted to find something more affordable, so I took the risk. I'm now taking Junel and it's been working out well. The first month, I had some breast-tenderness, but that was the only side effect. Which I found pretty amazing!
Ugh, I just went through a prescription insurance change. My non-generic BC went from $50 to $110 because it was non-covered under my new plan. WTF? I had a major freak out and spent several days calling and harassing my GYN for a new script for something covered. We ended up having to change my script to something else completely but I'm happy to say it's working well... and the best part, it's FREE! Hopefully you can talk to your doc and see if there's something chemically similar they can try you out on.
The way you've described The Goldfinch is how I would describe The Secret History... except I read the whole damn book because I kept thinking something amazing would happen. And it didn't.
Ahhhh now you are scaring me off again, when the nice Toasties above said they liked it! Have you read "The Secret History"??
I read "The Secret History" about a month ago because I wanted to know what the fuss was about before delving into her newest novel. I hated it. It was tiresome and way too long. So now I'm wary of reading "The Goldfinch"... does anyone have reassurance?
I have it in my Netflix queue! I plan on watching it soon.
I sold vintage stuff, so I'm not sure if it would be different for homemade item. But I always tried to make sure that there weren't any similar items already listed on etsy. Or if there was, I made sure my prices were competitive. Most importantly, I took photos with lots of natural light! (I had some clothing items that I took photos of inside my bedroom, and they weren't selling. So I took the items outside on a sunny day and take photos, and the clothes sold in a few days. Magic!)
My friends that are selling on etsy now all have Facebook pages devoted to their etsy shops. I'm always sure to share my friends' pages with all of MY friends, to help them get exposure. Don't be afraid to promote yourself! I really think that's the best way to get sales.
