State legislators are considering passing an amendment prohibiting state employees from swerving while driving state or privately owned vehicles. Such a move is sponsored by various larger auto insurance companies in the hopes of lessening claims and the resulting costs.

Can the well to do find a way to avoid this tax? Let's only tax lower income persons and the city can get a large cut for administering the paperwork! And instead let's also use the money raised for sports instead of lameoh arts and music. The number of persons who continue to play sports for the rest of their lives and/or become rich from their talents far outnumber the quantity of people who listen/sing and/or appreciate art for the rest of their lives. This money should be prioritized for sports and helping local government become even a deeper and costlier bureacracy.

Perhaps the judge is in the middle of negotiations with the Longshoremen as to the amount of donations, gifts, or tips he should receive before handing out his decision.

At least the homeless who pay much more in taxes will have their own bathroom facilities available 24/7 365!!!! That my friend is a major priority. Bathroom facilities are not necessary for children or senior who visit our parks. Or how about just leaving the bathrooms open in the parks located in the better of Portland's neighborhoods?

But the dealer seemed to be such an outstanding, upright, honest individual. They had just met, why should they doubt him?

I'm thinking that since the city now charges only specific people for leaf clean up, the electric utilities should charge those who lose power for the repair that returns the service!

This policy seems similar to the one Meier and Frank employed; when using a gift certificate, say for fifty dollars. if you purchased $20.00 worth of merchandise you were not allowed to keep the difference. The certificate had to be used in total at one time or the customer lost the amount remaining.

So the family knew and withheld this information? Doesn't that make someone an accessory? And I don't mean and accessory like a cup holder in an SUV.

A simple and inexpensive lesson very few people pay attention to; how much does it cost to lock your doors? So many people say "We've never been robbed and our doors are always unlocked." It only takes once, and it may not be a simple robbery or burglary.

Isn't it about time for Congress to pass laws that further prevent politicians from being able to be prosecuted for ANY crime? Of course politicians cannot be fired, only NOT re-elected, thus is there were laws making them immune from the law in all cases and circumstances they would not need worry about being thought of as pervs, criminals, ie., lawbreakers. They are elected officials and are better than you and I and should be held to a different standard of ethics.
