This is happening so often - Clerk/Tresurer/Whatever with no oversight blows money at the casino. When are the munipalities goig to wise up, spend a little change and have regular audits?
Gaming is a healthy family activity, gambling is everything but. Lost money, families ruined, empires built, hours in front of a slot machine - in the end you will lose - otherwise there wouldn't be a house so what is the point? Just give me your money, I'll give half back in a year and you will be ahead.
Call it what it is - gambling. Gaming is scrabble or Monopoly.
Back in my day........
I remember Griffiss as a SAC base and knowing those lumbering B-52s heading to Vietnam. Biw that was a sight and a sound!
This is so disturbing on so many levels. An EX State Trooper behaves this way? Wonder what Randazzo was like as an active State Trooper? Scares me. He should be held accountable at a higher level. Definatly take his guns away and definatly some jail time. Alas it will not bring Shadow back, but this guy is a real nut job. I sent out my check this morning.
Actually, the more I think of this, the more I like it. It resolves 2 issues without much cost. Huh.... Good idea.
And I would be giving him a Milkbone and rubbing him behind the ears. Then maybe a kiss on the nose. It's obvious that I love dogs and you are paranoid afraid of them and would shoot them. Do you have guns? You scare me.
If you have an issue with someone walking an unleashed dog, then you bring it up to the owner and if not resolved, you bring it up to higher authorities. YOU DON'T SHOOT THE DOG, who did nothing wrong. And if you are a retired police officer, you would know this - I question the mentality of this retired officer - he's scarier than heck.
Ummmm - and he/she recused themself why? The 55 acres isn't going to make or break a nanotech center and since I've walked my dog on Hazard Road, I do know the 55 acres would be a great buffer. There are many nice homes up there, long established. A buffer would be good.
I don't understand - the county is gong to absorb the costs of additional patrols in Yorkville, the milage, gas, wear and tear on the vehicles, extra staffing, payroll, etc. and the savings, as reported, would be $40,000 a year to Yorkville? Somehow I'm missing something - the County Sheriff's Department is going to do this out of the goodness of their heart at no additional costs to the taxpayer?
