Yes I can vote as long as I can get to Marlebrough, which is 14 miles from Devizes. For me the wafer thin CV's are inadequate but five of the six are tainted for me. Whether by being London centric or EU connected, I lived near Brussels for 26 years so don't want a Europhile. I would like to question the farmer on his views but am not sure that will be allowed, I will pose the question.
I was also working in and around Brussels, one job was on the Euro project for BNB which taught me it was never a financial decision, just perverted ideological politics.
Nobody could imagine Bercow being the actual speaker after his appalling performances, but then it shows the caliber of today's MP's that they elected that biased turncoat.
It would indeed be helpful to us in the Devizes constituency, what is also odd is that the members meeting to hear these candidates is being held 14 miles away in Marlbrough which is on the edge of the constituency.
I consider the absence of comments on that to be very indicative that the faux tory liberals in Central Office are still alive and kicking. However all I talk to in Devizes are very much leave supporting so we'll see what the candidates say in the meeting for members to select the candidate. The last thing I will vote for is another liberal.
That is good news, I will see what he has to say on the 17th (or before) when the selection meeting will be held.
I too live in Devizes and am very disappointed at that list, it seems the sifting committee got pressured into ignoring some good local candidates from Wiltshire. It is also clear that because no mention has been made of their brexit stance they are probably more of the Perry mold.
There was at least one local guy on the list from Wiltshire and he knew the EU and Belgium very well indeed, however his name is not on that list, probably since like me he has seen why we have to leave the EU ASAP.
Certainly the Devizes Association had a sift team involved, the last I heard it was at least 3 local members from the various branches, the problem is that Central Office tries to enforce its selection criteria on us and there are far too many 'Wets' being shoehorned in.
We will see, I don't know Morris but he had better not be a faux tory, who supports the EU rather than our conservative core values.
