Susanmac- yes, your generation has fought the good fight and fought it well...what I fear is my generation and those after. We are the ones who voted for "change." Children, voting for childish ideals. Where my mind is, is thirty years from now. We may not be in chains, but our society will be very much one of self-centered immorality. Politics is politics. I've been fascinated by politics since I was a fifth grader. The only thing I have to say about it now is that it is death. Politics is death. If people would quit bickering about how to best preserve their life and freedom, they would find it in Christ. A long time ago the Israelis chose to have a man instead of God to govern themselves. Our nation has done the same. I still fight the good fight, but in my personal life. And no, I refuse to be depressed anymore. I welcome any authority who wants to challenge my Truth.
Oh, and thank you Intense Debate for splitting my last comment because it was a "little too long." Scrowling down the page, there are a number of comments far lengthier than mine. Hmm maybe that's one way to soften what I wrote, having a nice gap in between.
(continued)…I've come to the conclusion that whatever happens will happen. Maybe now is the beginning of the end, maybe we'll prosper for another hundred years...either way, I know to myself who's hands my life is in and when the time comes I'll love a beautiful woman and together we'll struggle through our time on this rotten earth and then we'll die and forever be at peace in Christ. Amen.
"Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun."

Only a few months ago I was one to follow the news and get excited about Glenn Beck, but lately I really cannot stand any of it. I'm tired of hearing about how badly Obama’s screwing America, I'm tired of hearing about every dollar being spent, good or bad, and I'm tired of getting depressed and angry about things that are only natural in a material world. Now, whenever I see the news or hear someone yapping about the state of our country, I only feel sickened. Now that the media is able to shove every little petty thing down our throats at all times and places, I think they've created an unnecessary sense of fear and paranoia among our people…(continued)
Driving down the highway this afternoon, in broad daylight...notice all the lights are still on...so much for conserving energy!
Did anyone watch the video of Rep. Richardson? PATHETIC. Also, quite disturbing. I think she needs to re-visit the socialist paradise and recieve some electroshock therapy to correct her insanity. She can say hi to Elian Gonzales while she's there.
Just like to comment on today's quote from John Adams:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
I've heard this before, but forgot who said it. Absolutely brilliant. Anyone who believes that government is solely the corrupt body of our nation, hear Adam's words. All forms of government are evil. Democracy is evil. The federal republic is evil. The system can only function properly when the people are morally obligated to protect themselves from eachother, of course, recognizing the inherent corruption of man's heart. A responsible people will inherit a responsible government- a dysfunctional people will inherit a dysfunctional government. Simple!
Oh, but how could they do any more? As Madeline Albright once put it, Kim's such a "charming man."
How 'bout we push the "nuke" button instead, Chavez?
Israel's finally elected a leader who won't take crap from these madmen. I hope Netanyahu does take action- show the world how to get things done!
